Accad

Ak´ad; also Agade, Akkad

A city of Nimrod’s kingdom in the land of Shinar (Gen 10:10). The precise location of the city Accad is not known, but it likely lay near modern Baghdad, Iraq, or between Baghdad and Babylon.
